The Canadian trail

 Welcome to Canada!

We have been here for two whole days now and have done so much already.

Stanley Park was first on our itinerary. A fabulous 1000 acre park, which if you have the legs for it you can walk or cycle round!  8 km of sea wall to get round.  Us, we took the hop on hop off shuttle which was great.
When we arrived it was time for elevenses...

Well I did have sweeteners in my cappuccino! The Canadians we have found out are big on
presentation.  Not our type of crumble, just apples with a few toffee type oats on top but was delicious.

So on the bus and next stop was the one of the aboriginal "camps". Lots of original crafts for sale.

Learn how to dance!

Jumping off at Brockton point we saw the nine totems poles which were amazing although these are replicas. The originals have over the years been sent to various museums for preservation.

Just a part of one of them.

Have you ever sat up in the tree tops with a raccoon outside the window. We'll we did. Although they were running wild they had their own house.

Oh and this was lunch!

Nothing more to say on that but just delicious, salmon burger which had been grilled with Cajun, onion and garlic dressing.

Our day at the beautiful Stanley park ended with us walking along the waterfront and while stopping for a beverage or two along there we watched a wedding taking place on a beautiful yacht at 7.00 in the evening.
